Benefits of Passive Matrix OLED (PMOLED) over LCD:



  • PMOLED displays are the most practical choice for displays smaller than 2” to 3” diagonal sizes, or having less than approximately 100 row lines

  • PMOLED displays are easy and inexpensive to build

  • PMOLED displays provide superior advantages in terms of picture and color quality, viewing angle and video performance over LCD displays used today

  • PMOLED displays are also offered with a transmittance effect greater than 50 percent, thus ideal for see-through or transparent displays applications

  • PMOLED displays do not use a backlight therefore consuming less battery power compared to a similar sized LCD
